In order to manage the water affaires in Bhima river basin, mainly in the upper catchments of Bhima River, an Upper Bhima Water Partnership involving multi-stakeholders / basin water users has been formed in the year 2003. It functioning & operations are in line with Global water partnership.
AFARM has provided all infrastructural & secretariat support to Upper Bhima Water Partnership since its inception & it is continued even now. The steering Committee of UBWP in association with some experts & institutions has prepared a perspective plan / master plan for development & management of water in Bhima River.
