As part of the Holistic Rural Development Project (HRDP) being implemented by AFARM in Digras and Satala villages of Udgir Taluka, Latur district, a tender is being invited from authorized suppliers for setting up Science and Mathematics laboratories based on STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) concept in the Marathi Medium Zilla Parishad Primary Schools (for grades 1 to 7) in these villages. The supplier must have an experience of more than 5 years of the same work. Science and Mathematics laboratories based on STEM concept is an innovative approach, has been adopted in many schools to make learning fun for the children. It is also the innovative way to ensure that students are exposed to Science, Maths, Technology and Engineering in their early years. STEM capitalizes on the curiosity of students. Instilling an interest at an early age in the fertile minds of children could spark a lasting desire to pursue a career in any of these fields. The lab will consist of a subject specific equipment and models that will promote experimentation and hands on activities.

Farmers in the state have experienced adverse effects of weather changes in the agriculture sector. Various research institutions and agricultural universities have successfully implemented several projects/experiments to develop farming methods suitable for changing weather conditions. Additionally, there are some governmental initiatives, agricultural science centres, and several voluntary organizations working in conjunction with farming communities to establish weather-adaptive agricultural knowledge. To facilitate the exchange of experiences and learning among member organizations as well as between various organizations, the workshop has been organized.
The workshop organized by AFARM on November 28, 2023 at S. M. Joshi Foundation Auditorium, Pune. More than 75 Experts, NGO Representatives attended the workshop.

Dr. Venkat Mayande - Ex Vice Chancellor, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Agriculture University, Akola guided the participants on various approaches of Climate Resilient Practices.

It is a fundamental right of every Indian citizen to have guaranteed 'food security' as well as access to a 'nutritious' diet is equally important. According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report, India ranks first in the world in terms of production of milk, pulses, rice, wheat, wheat, sugarcane, groundnut, fruits, cotton, etc., but the rate of malnutrition in India is 14% and proportion of children under 5 years is as high as 34.7%. In this background, keeping in mind the importance of 'Food Security with Nutritional Security', the 'AFARM' organization has undertaken a pilot 'AFARM Nutrition Mission'.
Subsequently, one day State Level Consultation on “Food Security with Nutritional Security” was organized by AFARM on Monday on October 17, 2022 at S. M. Joshi Foundation Auditorium, Pune.
This Consultation was organized with the objectives of creating a collective understanding of the concept of 'Food Security with Nutritional Security', getting updated information about the studies, researches and projects done at the local, national and international level.
At the same time, the purpose behind this consultation was to advocate for appropriate policies regarding nutrition security, suggest issues to the government, and undertake concrete action programs, campaigns and projects at the institutional level, to play a part in the creation of a healthy society.
A day-long consultation on 'Food Security with Nutritional Security' was divided into three sessions as follows.
1. Food Security including Nutrition Security: Current Status and Challenges.
2. Outcomes, lessons learned and recommendations of action programs and research projects designed and undertaken by various governmental and non-governmental organizations for nutrition security.
3. Future direction and action program of food security program including nutrition security
